Licensed toJeffersonville, New York, United States, the station is owned byTownsquare Media and features programming fromAP Radio.[2] Its studios are in Poughkeepsie, and its transmitter is located inLiberty, New York.
WPDA also breaks away from the format to simulcastNew York Yankees games with sister station, countryWKXP.

On August 30, 2013, a deal was announced in whichCumulus Media would swap its stations inDubuque, Iowa andPoughkeepsie, New York (including WPDA) toTownsquare Media in exchange for Peak Broadcasting'sFresno, California stations. The deal is part of Cumulus' acquisition ofDial Global; Townsquare, Peak, and Dial Global are all controlled byOaktree Capital Management.[3][4] The sale to Townsquare was completed on November 14, 2013.[5]
