Vanastega is an extinctgenus ofTriassictemnospondyl amphibian in the familyBrachyopidae. It is known from theCynognathus Assemblage Zone inBurgersdorp, South Africa.[1][2] The genus contains just one species,Vanastega plurimidens, thetype species.[2]
