U.S. Folgore Caratese A.S.D.[1] is anItalian association football club, based inCarate Brianza which currently plays inSerie D group A.

The club was founded in 2011[2] after the merger ofU.S. Folgore Verano (founded in 1951 and playing inEccellenza) andU.S. Caratese (founded in 1908 and playing inSerie D).[3] The most notable former player ofCaratese has beenMoreno Torricelli.
Folgore Caratese was formerly a satellite team ofNovara Calcio. The club serves as a training side for Novara's young talents.[4]
Folgore Caratese has been chaired since 2023, and formerly from 2016 to 2022, by journalist Michele Criscitiello, who is also editor-in-chief and co-owner of sports TV channelSportitalia, the latter serving also as the official club sponsor during the period.[5][6][7]
The team's colors are blue with white border.
