Edward "Teddy"Campbell Sutherland (born 28 March 2000) is an English professionalfootballer who plays as awinger for Spanish clubTeruel.
Sutherland was born inLondon, England and moved to Spain with his family toCartagena, Spain at the age of four. He soon after joined the youth academy ofFC Cartagena, and at 11 had a stint withVillarreal CF.[1]
Sutherland returned to Cartagena in 2016, being assigned to affiliate club EF Ciudad Jardín.[2] He made his senior – and first team – debut on 14 May 2017, coming on as a latesubstitute forGermán Sáenz in a 0–0Segunda División B home draw againstRecreativo de Huelva.[3]
Sutherland was assigned tothe reserves inTercera División for the2017–18 season, and featured regularly for the side before agreeing to a three-year contract withGetafe CF in July 2018; at the latter side, he appeared exclusively for theJuvenil squad. On 16 July 2019, he moved to anotherreserve team,Elche CF Ilicitano also in the fourth tier.[4]
Sutherland returned to Cartagena on 18 September 2020, being initially assigned to the B-team.[5] He made his professional debut with theEfesé the following 22 March, replacingElady Zorrilla late into a 0–2 away loss toAlbacete Balompié.[6]
On 2 September 2021, Sutherland moved toAtlético Madrid on loan for one year, and was assigned tothe B-team inTercera División RFEF.[7]
In February 2024, Sutherland leftLinares Deportivo to join fellowPrimera Federación sideUE Cornellà on a free transfer.[8]
In July 2024, Sutherland joined newly promoted Primera Federación sideYeclano Deportivo.[9]
In July 2025, Sutherland joined newly promoted Primera Federación sideTeruel.[10]
