Thaddeus Brown is an American sports executive who is thechief executive officer (CEO) ofHarris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which includes thePhiladelphia 76ers of theNational Basketball Association (NBA) and theNew Jersey Devils of theNational Hockey League (NHL). He was CEO of the NBA'sHouston Rockets and theToyota Center. Brown is a graduate ofColgate University.[1]

Houston Rockets and Toyota Center

Brown joined theHouston Rockets as their Vice President of Corporate Development in 2002 before being named CEO in October 2006, a role which also covered theToyota Center.[2] The Toyota Center hosted the2006 and2013 NBA All-Star Games. He played a role in signingJames Harden in 2012 and keeping him from free agency in 2017. Brown was also responsible for trading forChris Paul in 2017 before trading him forRussell Westbrook in 2019.[3] During theCOVID-19 pandemic, Brown was actively involved in the organization's efforts to support front line workers and the local community.[4][5][6] Brown stepped down as CEO in April 2021.[7]

Brown began work as CEO ofHarris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) on August 3, 2021.[8][9][10] The role covers overseeing business operations of thePhiladelphia 76ers,New Jersey Devils, andPrudential Center.[7]
