Zagat's reported that Taïm had 'sublime'falafel (deep-friedchickpea balls), rated "'best in NYC' – and maybe 'the USA'".[2][3] The falafel comes in several flavors, such as green (parsley andcilantro), red (roasted red peppers), and spicy. Home-madeharissa spices it up.[1][2][4][5]

The menu also includes homemade French fries to be dipped insaffronaioli, salad with lemon-mint dressing, and hot toastedpita brushed witholive oil and a mixture of sesame, salt, and the Israeli herbza'atar (grown on a mountain near Jerusalem).[2][4][6]

Decor

[edit]

The original restaurant was small. Its decor was described byZagats as "almost 'literally a hole-in-the-wall'".[3]
