Sven Richard Friberg (7 February 1895 – 26 May 1964) was a Swedishassociation footballdefender who won a bronze medal at the1924 Summer Olympics.[1] Between 1915 and 1928 he played 41 international matches and scored no goals.[2][3]
Friberg won theSvenska Serien in1914–15 withIFK Göteborg.[2]
WithÖrgryte IS he won the Svenska Serien in1920–21 and1923–24 as well asAllsvenskan in1925–26 and1926–28.[2]
Friberg captained theSweden national team which won a bronze medal at the1924 Summer Olympics.[4] In total he made 41 appearances between 1915 and 1928, captaining 30.[2]
Friberg returned toÖrgryte IS as a coach, managing the club from 1930 to 1931.[5]
