The boat was built bySonata Yachts inAustralia, which completed 40 examples starting in 1986.[1][4]

Design

The Sonata 6.7 is a small recreationalkeelboat, built predominantly offiberglass. It has afractionalsloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-typerudder and a fixed finkeel. It displaces 2,544 lb (1,154 kg) and carries 952 lb (432 kg) of ballast.[1][4]

The boat has a draft of 4.92 ft (1.50 m) with the standard keel. There was a lifting keel version produced as well.[1][4]

The design has ahull speed of 5.9 kn (10.9 km/h).[4]
