San Dionisio Ocotlan is a town andmunicipality inOaxaca in south-westernMexico. The municipality covers an area of 20.41 km2. It is part of theOcotlán District in the south of theValles Centrales Region.
The town was founded by the Spanish in 1526[1] and its name roughly translates to the "land between the pines" inNahuatl.
As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 1,093.[2]
