Salumi (sg.:salume,pronounced[saˈluːme]) areItalian meat products typical of anantipasto, predominantly made frompork andcured. They also includebresaola, which is made from beef, and some cooked products, such asmortadella.

The wordsalume, 'salted meat', derives from theLatinsal, 'salt'.
