Rambergite is amanganesesulfide mineral with formulaMnS.
It has been found inanoxicmarine sediments, rich inorganic matter of theGotland Deep,Baltic Sea and also inskarn in theGarpenberg area,Dalarna,Sweden. It was named after the mineralogist,Hans Ramberg (1917–1998).[2]
It is a member of thewurtzite group and is chemically related tohauerite.
