Rafe Lee Judkins (born January 8, 1983) is an American screenwriter and television producer. He was theshowrunner for theAmazon Prime Video television seriesThe Wheel of Time, has several writing credits for TV, and appeared as a contestant on the11th season ofSurvivor, which took place inGuatemala.
Judkins was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to a large Mormon family. He attendedBrown University.[1]
Judkins participated inSurvivor: Guatemala in the Fall of 2005.[2][3]
AfterSurvivor, Judkins moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in screenwriting. He was staffed on the short-livedChristian Slater drama,My Own Worst Enemy, and then was a writer on the third season ofChuck.[4] After a stint onHemlock Grove he began writing forAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D..[5]
On April 20, 2017, it was announced that Judkins would be showrunning theTV adaptation ofThe Wheel of Time.[6]
In May 2018, it was announced that Judkins was showrunning and writingThe Last Amazons alongside director/executive producerAva DuVernay, a television show about the realAmazon women inAncient Greece.[7]
Rafe Judkins, who was announced as showrunner and executive producer for Amazon's upcomingGod of War TV series, departed the project in October 2024 due to creative differences.[8][9][10][11]
