The marinePrasinodermophyta are a proposed basalViridiplantae clade, as sister of another clade comprising theChlorophyta and theStreptophyta.[4][1][5] It consists of thePrasinodermophyceae and thePalmophyllophyceae, and is informally called prasinodermophytes.[6] They were previously considered to be a basal Chlorophyta clade, or part of the "prasinophytes".
