East Hawkesbury is atownship in easternOntario, Canada, in theUnited Counties of Prescott and Russell. Situated on theOttawa River, its eastern boundary is the border with the province ofQuebec.
The township comprises the villages of Chute-à-Blondeau,Sainte-Anne-de-Prescott andSaint-Eugène. The township administrative offices are located in Saint-Eugène.[2]
In the2021 Census of Population conducted byStatistics Canada, East Hawkesbury had a population of3,418 living in1,425 of its1,507 total private dwellings, a change of3.7% from its 2016 population of3,296. With a land area of 235.06 km2 (90.76 sq mi), it had a population density of14.5/km2 (37.7/sq mi) in 2021.[1]
