Sexual orientation

Plurisexuality ormultisexuality is a term used to describe individuals who areattracted to multiplegenders.[1] This includes certainsexual identities such aspansexuality, bisexuality, omnisexuality, andpolysexuality, falling under the umbrella of non-monosexuality, which encompasses allsexualities that are not exclusivelyheterosexual orhomosexual.[2] It is also referred to asmultiple-gender attraction (MGA).[3] Plurisexual individuals may experiencesexual attraction to people of different genders, which can include but is not limited tomen,women,non-binary,genderqueer, and othergender identities. Plurisexuality can befluid and may vary from person to person.[4][5]Abrosexual, for example, can be used to describe when one's experience changes in their attractions over time.[6]

Multisexual was also used to describemulticulturalsexual diversity,[7] among other things.[8][9]

Some plurisexual people may feel represented by thebisexual umbrella,[10] however not every plurisexualidentifies as bisexual.[11][12] While more specific and less known plurisexual identities exist, bisexuality and pansexuality are more established and understood concepts within theLGBT community and among the general public,[13][14] but they may experiencemonosexism, erasure, andheteronormativity.[15][16]
