Ollie Gordon II (born January 15, 2004) is an American professionalfootballrunning back for theMiami Dolphins of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theOklahoma State Cowboys, winning theDoak Walker Award in 2023 after rushing for over 1,600 yards with 20touchdowns. Gordon was selected by the Dolphins in the sixth round of the2025 NFL draft.

Early life

Gordon was born and raised inFort Worth, Texas,[1][2] and attendedTrinity High School inEuless, Texas.[3] While in high school Gordon was named theFort Worth Star-Telegram 2020 Male High School Athlete of the Year.[4] A 4 star prospect, he committed to play college football atOklahoma State University.[4][5]

College career

After receiving limited playing time for the majority of the season, Gordon would break out for a 136-yard performance in againstWest Virginia in the final game of the 2022 season.[6][7] For his performance against West Virginia, Gordon was named thePFF True Freshman of the Week.[8] Gordon emerged as a star in 2023, leading the country in rushing yards with 1,732.[9] He scored 21 rushing touchdowns as well.[10] He was named the 2023Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and won theDoak Walker Award after rushing for over 1,700 yards with 22 total touchdowns.[11][12] Following a lackluster 2024 season, Gordon declared for the2025 NFL draft.[13]

Gordon was selected in the sixth round, with the 179th pick of the2025 NFL draft by theMiami Dolphins.[16]

In preseason game against the Detroit Lions, Gordon rushed for 50 rushing yards on 10 carries and had receptions for nine more yards.

Personal life

On June 30, 2024, Gordon was arrested on suspicion ofdriving under the influence.[17]
