Oliver Patterson (born 3 January 2006) is an Australiancricketer who has representedQueensland and theBrisbane Heat in domestic cricket.

Early life

Patterson was born inSydney,Australia.[1] He began playing cricket at the age of eight for theEastern Suburbs Junior Cricket Club inSydney. He played for Avalon in the Manly Junior Cricket Association for the 11-12's age group, and played in junior representative sides for Manly District.[2]

Patterson attended school atCranbrook School.[3] He represented their first XI team for three years, where he received several bowling awards, as well as achieving the side's highest ever individual score of 204.[2]

Patterson first played 1st Grade Premier Cricket at the age of 18 for theEastern Suburbs Cricket Club in theNSW Premier Cricket competition, before making the move toQueensland where he joined theWestern Suburbs District Cricket Club in theQueensland Premier Cricket competition.[2][4]

Domestic Career

Patterson played forNew South Wales at under-17 and under-19 level.[2]

Patterson gained attention from theBrisbane Heat after his season with Western Suburbs in the Queensland T20 Max competition. He took 15 wickets at an average of 9.73.[5] He signed with the Heat ahead of the2025–26 Big Bash League season.[6][7] He made his debut against theAdelaide Strikers.[8]

In February 2026, Patterson was added to theQueensland squad ahead of their match againstVictoria in theOne Day Cup.[9] He made his debut and took his first wicket inList A cricket, getting Victoriawicket-keeperSam Harpercaught atslip.[10]

International Career

Patterson was part of theAustralian under-19 squad for their tour ofIndia in 2024.[11] He played twoYouth ODI's and oneYouth Test.[5]
