Froilan "Nanny" Fernandez (October 25, 1918 – September 19, 1996) was an American professionalbaseball player.
Fernandez played all, or part of, four seasons in theMajor Leagues, primarily as athird baseman, although he also saw significant time as ashortstop andoutfielder. He played for theBoston Braves in1942 and, after serving in World War II,1946 and1947. After two seasons in theminor leagues, he returned to the majors in1950 with thePittsburgh Pirates. After spending the1951 season with theIndianapolis Indians, the Pirates' top farm team, he spent three seasons in thePacific Coast League with theSeattle Rainiers andSacramento Solons.
