NGC 343 are a pair ofinteracting galaxies in the constellationCetus. It was discovered in 1886 byFrank Muller. It was described byDreyer as "extremely faint, very small, irregularly round, suddenly brighter middle and nucleus (perhaps a star?)."[3]
