Nrpendradevi orNṛpatendradevī (8th-century), was aqueen regnant ofSambhupura inChenla inCambodian history.[1] She was also the queen ofRajendravarman I [fr], the king of Lower Chenla.
She was the daughter of QueenIndrani of Sambhupura and KingPushkaraksha [fr] (also known as Indraloka). She inherited the throne from her mother instead of her brother, princeShambhuvarman [fr] (Rudravarman), who instead married their cousin, princess Narendradevi of Chenla.[1]
Queen Nrpendradevi married her cousin and nephew, her brother's son princeRajendravarman I [fr] of Chenla, and became the mother of queenJayendrabhā, who succeeded her on the throne.[1] Also,Mahipativarman was the son of Rajendravarman I and her.[1] Rajendravarman I, the ruler of Lower Chenla,[2] becameKing consort of Sambhupura by marrying her.[3]
