Michael Vincent Lee (born November 29, 1968)[1] is aRepublican member of theNorth Carolina State Senate.

Lee was first appointed to office in August 2014 replacingThom Goolsby.

He was re-elected at theNovember 2016 election for a second term, having defeatedDemocrat Andrew Barnhill 57.35% to 42.65%.[2] He was defeated by DemocratHarper Peterson in the2018 election and defeated Peterson in a rematch in the2020 election. He was elected as majority leader in April 2025.[3]

Lee holds a bachelor's degree from theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and aJuris Doctor degree fromWake Forest University.

As a lawyer, Lee started his own law firm in 2012.[4]
