Thezhwiki recently reached a consensus on RSN to blacklist this Hong Kong-based English-language news blog. Although community consensus does not apply across Wikiprojects, I believe the reasons for its blocking—persistent publication of fake news and fringe theories, lack of editorial independence and oversight, and management with controversial backgrounds—render it aquestionable source that editors should avoid using in any circumstance. It has been cited extensively on enwiki, totaling 161 articles before I cleaned up yesterday by replacing all of them with better alternatives. I wonder if it would be beneficial to add this source to the spam list to prevent it from being cited again in the future by editors unaware of its background and reliability. —👑PRINCE ofEREBOR📜08:08, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Please unban nfhsnetwork.com It is one of the only resources I have to cite rivalries for private school rivalries in Memphis and if I don't cite them they will be removed again. I can't take this anymore and Wikipedia will have me in a casket if they don't fix this.— Precedingunsigned comment added byDizzlessportsmatrix (talk •contribs)18:24, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
Not done.Dizzlessportsmatrix, this website is not blacklisted on the English Wikipedia. The site also appears to be offline, but that doesn't have anything to do with Wikipedia, as far as I can tell. — Newslingertalk23:15, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
we have been working/creating 3d animation since 2006 for engineers. there is no fake/spam information on this website at all. Could you please remove from Spam/backlist this website. Sincerely.— Precedingunsigned comment added byKibrit Creative (talk •contribs)22:48, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
wondersinspace.com: Linksearchen(insource) -meta -de -fr -simple -wikt:en -wikt:fr •Spamcheck •blacklist hits •MER-C X-wiki •gs • Reports:Links on en -COIBot -COIBot-Local • Discussions:tracked -advanced -RSN • COIBot-Link,Local, &XWiki Reports - Wikipedia:en -fr -de • Google:search •meta • Domain:domaintools •AboutUs.com I was trying to add a picture of the rare 'Smiley face' conjunction to the 'notable conjunctions' section of the 'Astronomy conjunctions(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conjunction_(astronomy))' wiki page from this website and I noticed it has been blacklisted, with the reason stated as "Determined attempt to add this news aggregation blog from 'a certified SEO and content writer'." However, upon reviewing, it appears that the user was trying to contribute to the astronomy and space related wiki pages and gain citations, and not engage in spammy behavior. The user somehow referred to himself as a 'certified SEO and content writer'. This seems like the he was unaware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest, spam and external linking policies. I mean why would a spammer refer to himself as a 'certified spammer'? The website has helpful tools such as an Escape Velocity Calculator, Astronomical Unit Converter, and more, which are valuable to the astronomy community. The website shares some useful infographics and astrophotos of conjunctions and meteor showers captured by author on this website and these can be very helpful to Wikipedia articles. I also reviewed the website’s social media presence and found that it has millions of views and over 16,000 followers on Instagram. Also, there are no attempts of Link spamming or other fishy activities associated with this domain on Wikipedia since few months this indicates that the spamming has been stopped and there's no need of blacklisting it anymore. Overall, the website seems to be a reliable and non-spammy resource to me now. I request that it should be reviewed again and considered for whitelisting. Thank you!— Precedingunsigned comment added byPrem 23g5 (talk •contribs)12:10, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
A brand new user requesting the removal of a site from the spamlist? Especially because multiple earlier accounts (user:Rushikesh1911, San2006, Nihal Sayyad2005) are blocked for spamming. Time for a sockpuppet check? The Bannertalk13:11, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
No, I am not a sockpuppet! I just came across an article by BBC Sky at Night Magazine that featured an astrophoto from this website, and I thought of adding it to the wiki page. Regarding the new account, yes, this account is new, but that doesn't make me a sockpuppet. I do have another account that I use to edit, but it's on another device, and I don't have it with me as of now!— Precedingunsigned comment added byPrem 23g5 (talk •contribs)03:13, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
Request for removal of naveetech.us from blacklist
Hello,
I am a team member of the websiteReozaid (talk)15:45, 12 June 2025 (UTC)naveetech.us. It has come to our attention that the domain has been blacklisted on Wikipedia.
We believe this may have occurred due to misuse by third parties who were not affiliated with our team. We do not support or encourage spamming, and we are committed to ensuring responsible use of our website.
We are kindly requesting the removal of our domain from the blacklist, as we would like to use it as a citation on the Wikipedia page aboute-scooter, where our content adds valuable and verifiable information.
Not done It's come to my attention that you've used at leastfour different IPs to try to spam your site, and attempted to use URL-shortners to circument the blacklisting as well. By now it should be clear that you will not be using Wikipedia to promote your website, period.OhNoitsJamieTalk16:10, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
@15224 interestingly, that IP is not in the range I mentioned I couldn't block. I've indef'd the account and hard-blocked the IP. I'm going to add the domain to the local blocked list as an interim.HJ Mitchell |Penny for your thoughts?12:17, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
Hello, I am requesting the removal of roblox.com from the wikipedia blacklist. Checking the blacklist log, it appears to be some kind of mistake - Maybe someone tried to block a specific user but ended up blocking the whole website. Either way this block is a major problem for sourcing engineering and historical articles from their blog
Not done There is no mistake. Removing a site from the blaclist is not a whitelist request. Whitelisting requests are handled atMediaWiki_talk:Spam-whitelist. Whitelist requests should have aspecific url you need to whitelist under that domain, as well as a good justification for whitelisting. Most Roblox links have no value as Wikipediasources or external links other than a few at theRoblox article.OhNoitsJamieTalk00:06, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
