Mauro Ezequiel Cerutti (born 29 March 1994) is an Argentine professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder for ItalianSerie D club Heraclea.[1]

Career

Cerutti began his career withIndependiente Rivadavia.[1][2] A twelve-minute appearance in theCopa Argentina againstAlmirante Brown in April 2014 saw Cerutti make his bow in senior football, replacingHéctor Cardozo in a defeat at theEstadio San Juan del Bicentenario.[1] He made his debut inPrimera B Nacional versusCrucero del Norte in the succeeding June, which lasted just forty-five minutes after he received a red card on the brink of half-time.[1] Sixty total appearances followed across the next five seasons, with the midfielder netting his opening career goals againstJuventud Unida andArgentinos Juniors in the process.[1][3]

Cerutti left Independiente Rivadavia on 31 December 2017 after rejecting a new contract, though was unable to join a new club due to disagreements with his former team.[4][5][6] Cerutti, who is of Italian descent, joinedsecond tier sideTemperley on a free transfer on 30 June 2018; having trained with them since February.[1][7][8] He remained for two seasons, making forty-one appearances in all competitions; he also scored two goals, with both arriving in December 2018 againstDeportivo Morón andIndependiente Rivadavia respectively.[1] In August 2020, Cerutti moved abroad withSuper League Greece 2 teamPanachaiki.[1][9]
