Le Trait (French pronunciation:[lətʁɛ]) is acommune in theSeine-Maritimedepartment in theNormandy region in north-westernFrance.

Geography

An ex-shipbuilding town, nowadays involved infarming,forestry,light industry and port activity.Technip produces flexible pipes for the offshore oil industry in Le Trait and is the biggest employer. Le Trait is situated by the banks of the riverSeine, some 15 miles (24 km) west ofRouen on theD 982 road.
