Kibbeling (Dutch:[ˈkɪbəlɪŋ]ⓘ) is aDutchsnack consisting ofbattered chunks of fish, seasoned with a mix of spices and commonly served withremoulade orravigote.[1] In the twentieth century, it denoted the salted waste (the cheeks) of thecod fish, which was an important part of the common diet.[2] It is a frequently consumed dish in the Netherlands.[3]
