Kayliñña (Tigrinya andAmharic:ካይልኛ,romanized: kāyliññā) is one of twoAgaw languages formerly spoken by a subgroup of theBeta Israel (Ethiopian Jews). It is a transitional dialect betweenQimant andXamtanga. The nameKayla (ካይላ) is sometimes also used as a cover term for both Beta Israel dialects. It is known only from unpublished notes byJacques Faitlovitch written in theGe'ez script, recently studied byDavid Appleyard. It is preserved by the Beta Israel today.
