The earlier version of Kashubian alphabet, which dates back to 1850

TheKashubian orCassubian alphabet (kaszëbsczi alfabét,kaszëbsczé abecadło) is the script of theKashubian language, based on theLatin alphabet. The Kashubian alphabet consists of 34 letters:

A,Ą,Ã,B,C,D,E,É,Ë,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,Ł,M,N,Ń,O,Ò,Ó,Ô,P,R,S,T,U,Ù,W,Y,Z,Ż

The Kashubian language also uses some digraphs:ch,cz,dz,dż,rz andsz. The digraphscz,dż,sz,ż are pronounced in a different manner from theirPolish counterparts – they arepalato-alveolar, notretroflex – butrz is pronounced the same as in Polish.
