Kangaroo River, awatercourse of theClarence River catchment, is located in theNorthern Tablelands district ofNew South Wales,Australia.
Kangaroo River rises on the slopes of theGreat Dividing Range, near Moleton, southwest ofGlenreagh, and flows generally north by west and then north by east, joined by theTowallum River before forming itsconfluence with theOrara River, southeast ofCoutts Crossing. The river descends 334 metres (1,096 ft) over its 51 kilometres (32 mi)course;[2] and flows through theNymboida National Park in its upper reaches.
