Originally fromToronto, Gray attendedOakwood Collegiate Institute, and then played basketball while attendingLaurentian University.[1][2]
He previously played for theFraser Valley Bandits andOttawa BlackJacks of theCanadian Elite Basketball League. With Ottawa, he was named all-CEBL second team andCEBL Canadian Player of the Year during the 2023 season after averaging 16.3 points and a league-best 6.3 assists per game.[3][4]
Internationally, Gray has played for Team Canada at the2022 FIBA AmeriCup, where the squad finished in fourth place. He averaged 9 points over 18.9 minutes during the tournament.[5]
