Josh Hamilton is an American actor. He received a nomination for theIndependent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male for his performance in the hitindie filmEighth Grade.

Early life and career

Hamilton is the son of actors Sandra Kingsbury and Dan Hamilton.[1] His former stepmother was actressStephanie Braxton.

HisBroadway credits includeProof andThe Coast of Utopia (2007,Lincoln Center). Hamilton performed inThe Cherry Orchard at theBrooklyn Academy of Music in January and February 2009, alongsideEthan Hawke, who was his co-star in the 1993 filmAlive. In November 2010, it was announced that both Hamilton (Tom) andDane Cook (Carter) would star inNeil LaBute'sFat Pig. This marked LaBute's Broadway directorial debut.[2] In 2011 Hamilton starred as Torvald inHenrik Ibsen'sA Doll's House at theWilliamstown Theatre Festival.[3] Hamilton has also performed onPRI'sSelected Shorts, readingNeil Gaiman's storyThe Thing About Cassandra.[4] In late 2012, he appeared on Broadway inTheresa Rebeck's short-lived new comedyDead Accounts, starringKatie Holmes andNorbert Leo Butz.

Hamilton starred as Agent Justin C. Garrick in the 2023Peabody Award–winning filmReality, retelling the story of young American whistleblowerReality Winner'sFBI interrogation that ended in her arrest.[5]
