Joe Menosky is a television writer known for his work on the variousStar Trek series.
He graduated fromPomona College in 1979, where the number 47 holds special importance (see47 as an in-joke ).[ 1] Menosky is the writer credited with starting the trend of trying to work the number47 into many scripts.[ 2] [ 3]
Menosky joined the writing staff forSeason 4 ofStar Trek: The Next Generation ,[ 4] and also wrote for several episodes forStar Trek: Deep Space Nine andStar Trek: Voyager .[ 5] [ 6] As a writer onVoyager , he usually co-wrote withBrannon Braga . In June 2016, it was announced that Menosky had joined the writing staff forStar Trek: Discovery .[ 7] [ 8]
He later began work as aco-producer onThe Orville ,[ 9] and wrote the second-season episode "Sanctuary ".
