Jean Pierre François Bonet, Count of Bonet[note 1] (Alençon, 8 August 1768 –Alençon, 23 November 1857) was a French military commander during theFrench Revolutionary Wars andNapoleonic Wars.
During thePeninsular War, Bonet saw action atGamonal (10 November 1808).[1] Both he and his commanding officer, MarshalMarmont, were wounded by shrapnel at theBattle of Salamanca.
Bonet is among the names of French military leadersinscribed under the Arc de Triomphe.
