Jared Mark Deacon (born 15 October 1975) is a male British formersprint athlete who specialised in the400 metres. He was born inSouth Shields and competed in the2000 Summer Olympics.[1]
He was a regular feature in the international British4 × 400 metres relay team, competing at the1999 World Championships in Athletics, the2003 IAAF World Indoor Championships and was also a three-time relay medallist at theSummer Universiade from 1995 to 1999.[2]
He representedEngland and won asilver medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay event, at the1998 Commonwealth Games inKuala Lumpur,Malaysia.[3] The other team members consisted ofSolomon Wariso,Mark Richardson,Paul Slythe,Sean Baldock andMark Hylton.[4]
He was a relay gold medallist for Great Britain at the2002 European Athletics Championships and for England at the2002 Commonwealth Games.[5]
