Production

The eight-part series is created byLisa McGee.[3] In August 2023 the series was announced to be executive produced by Caroline Leddy, Liz Lewin, andJimmy Mulville forHat Trick Productions andChannel 4.[4] In March 2024, the series moved to streaming serviceNetflix.Michael Lennox is director.[5]

On 1 July 2024,Roisin Gallagher,Sinead Keenan andCaoilfhionn Dunne were cast in the lead roles.[6] The cast also includesJeanne Ní Áinle as well asEmmett J. Scanlan,Tom Basden,Ardal O'Hanlon,Michelle Fairley,Saoirse-Monica Jackson andJosh Finan.[7][8]

Filming began inBelfast in July 2024.[9][10][11] Filming locations include the Harbourview (formerly Londonderry Arms) Hotel inCarnlough.[12]

Release

The series was released on Netflix on 12 February 2026 and was praised by critics.[13][2] OnRotten Tomatoes the series holds an approval rating of 91% from 22 critics.[14]
