Honcharivske (Ukrainian:Гончарівське) is arural settlement inChernihiv Raion,Chernihiv Oblast, northernUkraine. It hosts the administration ofHoncharivske settlement hromada, one of thehromadas of Ukraine.[4] The territory of Honcharivske is located within theDnieper Lowland, in the natural zone of mixed forests, inPolissya. Population:3,289 (2022 estimate).[3]
Until 26 January 2024, Honcharivske was designated as anurban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Honcharivske became a rural settlement.[5][6][7]
Goncharivske is located on the left bank of theDesna River, a tributary of theDnieper, 38 km from the regional center - the city ofChernihiv.[8] The territory of the community is located within theDnieper Lowland. The relief of the village surface is a lowland plain.[9][10]
The climate of Honcharivske is moderately continental, with warm summers and relatively mild winters. The average temperature in January is about -7 °C, and in July +19 °C. The average annual precipitation ranges from 550 to 660 mm, with the highest precipitation in the summer period.[11]
The most common are sod-podzolic and meadow soils. Honcharivske is located in the natural zone of mixed forests, inPolissya. The main species in the forests are pine, oak, alder, ash, and birch. Mineral and other valuable natural deposits present within the settlement include loam, peat, and sand.[10][12] Honcharivske specializes in forestry and growing grain crops.[9]
On the territory of Honcharivske there is theMizhrichynskyi Regional Landscape Park, in which pine forests are protected.[13][14]
