Hillsvale is anunincorporated community in the Canadian province ofNova Scotia, located in bothEast Hants Municipality andWest Hants Regional Municipality inHants County.[1][2]
Parts of present-day Hillsvale were a part of theRawdon Township from the late 18th century to the mid 19th century.[3]
Hillsvale was once the home of the McClare Brothers Lumber Mill (McClare Bros. Ltd), located in Hillsvale, West Hants. As of November 2021, you can still see what remains of the buildings and the sawdust piles behind them.[citation needed]
