Harmohinder Singh Bedi (born 12 March 1950) is an Indianacademician,academic administrator andauthor. Since 4 July 2018, he has been serving as theChancellor of theCentral University of Himachal Pradesh.[1][2]
Before joining Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Bedi had served as Professor Emeritus atPunjabi University,Patiala and as Professor and Head of Department ofHindi,Guru Nanak Dev University,Amritsar.[1]
In 2022, Govt of India conferred Bedi thePadma Shri award, the third highest civilian award of India, for his distinguished service in the field of literature and education.[3] The award is in recognition of his service as a "Punjabi Hindi Author and Academician with over 30 books to his credit".[4][5]
