Gowri Ishwaran is an Indian educationist, education consultant and advisor to theShiv Nadar Foundation.[1] She served as the chief executive officer ofthe Global Education & Leadership Foundation (tGELF) and is currently the vice-chairperson of the foundation.[2] She is the founder principal of theSanskriti School,[3] aNew Delhi–based co-educational institution.
A post graduate in English literature, she has taught at many institutions such asSt. Michael's School, Patna, Springdales School, Delhi andDelhi Public School[4] and has delivered lectures at various seminars and conferences.[2][3] She is one of the Senior Advisor of theShiv Nadar Foundation,[5] sits in the advisory board of the Shiv Nadar School[6] and is a member of the Governing Council of the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women, an educational initiative of theVedica Foundation andSri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication.[7] The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of thePadma Shri, in 2004, for her contributions to the Indian Educational sector.[8]
