Gopalpur Balikuda railway station is a railway station onKharagpur–Puri line, part of theHowrah–Chennai main line underKhurda Road railway division ofEast Coast Railway zone. It is situated besideNational Highway 16 at Urali, Gopalpur inCuttack district in the Indian state ofOdisha.[1]
In between 1893 and 1896 theEast Coast State Railway constructed Howrah–Chennai main line. Kharagpur–Puri branch was finally opened for public in 1901.[2] The route was electrified in several phases. In 2005, Howrah–Chennai route was completely electrified.[3]
