Georgi Damyanovo Municipality (Bulgarian:Община Георги Дамяново) is a frontiermunicipality (obshtina) inMontana Province, NorthwesternBulgaria, located on the northern slopes of westernStara Planina mountain and the area of the so-calledFore-Balkan. It is named after its administrative centre - the village ofGeorgi Damyanovo. In the southwest, the municipality borders onRepublic of Serbia.
The municipality embraces a territory of 298 km2 (115 sq mi) with a population of 2,739 inhabitants, as of February 2011.[1]
