Floridia (Italian pronunciation:[floˈriːdja];Sicilian:Çurìddia orSicilian:Ciurìddia[3][çʊˈɾi.dːɪ.a]; fromLatinFlorae dies "day ofFlora" or the adjectivefloridus "florid")[4] is a town andcomune in theProvince of Syracuse,Sicily (Italy).

Floridia lies 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) west ofSyracuse. Its principal industries are agriculture, livestock, and manufacturing.
