Firth (Old Norse:Fjörðr[1] meaning afirth orfjord) is acivil parish mainly onMainland, Orkney. The islands ofDamsay andHolm of Grimbister, which lie in the Bay of Firth, are also in the parish. It is in the west of the mainland island, lying south of the parish ofRendall, east ofHarray andStenness, north ofOrphir and west ofSt Ola.[2]

It is not to be confused with the numerousFirths that surround Orkney.

The main village isFinstown.[3]

Buckle's Tower stands on the Hill of Heddle, just outside Finstown.
