TheFibera KK-1e Utu (English:Mist) is aFinnishmid-wing,T-tailed, single-seat,FAI Standard Classglider that was designed byAhto Anttila and produced byFibera in the 1960s.[1][2][3][4]
The KK-1e was one of the firstfibreglass sailplanes produced, first flying in 1964.[1][2]
The KK-1e has a 15.0 m (49.2 ft) span wing, with a singlespar. The wing employs aNACA 63-618airfoil at thewing root, changing to a NACA 63-612 section at thewing tip. The wing features a splitterminal velocitytrailing edge combinationspoiler/dive brake. The landing gear is a fixed monowheel.[1][2][5]
The aircraft was nottype certified and the one aircraft imported into theUnited States was registered with theFederal Aviation Administration in theExperimental - Exhibition/Racing category.[1][2][3]
Only one KK-1e was imported into the United States in 1967. As of July 2011 this aircraft was still registered with the FAA to its original owner.[3]
