Emi Nakajima (中島 依美,Nakajima Emi; born September 27, 1990) is a Japanesefootballer who plays as amidfielder. She plays forGyeongju KHNP WFC andJapan national team.

Club career

Nakajima was born inYasu on September 27, 1990. After graduating from high school, she joinedINAC Kobe Leonessa in 2009. The club wonL.League championship for 3 years in a row (2011-2013). She was also selected Best Eleven in2013 and2017.

National team career

Nakajima was included inNorio Sasaki'sJapan U20 national team for the2010 U20 World Cup inGermany.[1] She appeared in all of Japan's three matches againstMexico,Nigeria andEngland, scoring one goal in a 3–1 win against England, as Japan were eliminated in the group stage.[2] Nakajima received her first cap for thesenior team againstUnited States on May 14, 2011. On July 10, 2013, she was called up to the2013 East Asian Cup inSouth Korea.[3] She scored her first goal on July 20 in a 2–0 win againstChina in the first East Asian Cup final round match.[4] In 2014, she played at2014 Asian Cup and2014 Asian Games. Japan won the championship at Asian Cup and 2nd place at Asian Games.

On 19 March 2018, she was called up to the2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup,[5] where Japan won the championship.

On 10 May 2019, Nakajima was included in the 23-player squad for the2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.[6]

On 18 June 2021, she was included in the Japan squad for the2020 Summer Olympics.[7]
