Acortical lobule (orrenal lobule) is a part of arenal lobe. It consists of thenephrons grouped around a singlemedullary ray, and draining into a singlecollecting duct. Its near identical parallel is therectallobe^{[citation needed]}, which is present in the majority of mammals.
