Edemir Cláudio Marques, commonly known asCláudio orCláudio Marques (born 18 February 1950), is a retiredfootballmidfielder who won theCampeonato Paranaense seven times as a player withCoritiba Foot Ball Club. He is now a football manager and television commentator.
Born inSantos, São Paulo, Cláudio Marques playing professional football withCoritiba Foot Ball Club in 1969. He won theCampeonato Paranaense five consecutive times with Coritiba before joiningSport Club Corinthians Paulista for two seasons. He won theCampeonato Paulista with Corinthians and then returned to Coritiba where he won the Campeonato Paranense twice more.[1] He also won the 1973Torneio do Povo with Coritiba.[2]
In 1979, Cláudio Marques moved toMexico to play forAtlético Potosino.[3]
After he retired from playing, Cláudio Marques became a football coach. He ledSinop Futebol Clube to twoCampeonato Mato-Grossense titles in 1998 and 1999. He managedRio Branco Sport Club in 2009, and was appointed manager ofFast Clube in June 2012.[1]
