American filmmaker
Chris Sivertson is an American filmmaker.[1]
Sivertson's first film wasAll Cheerleaders Die (2001), which he also wrote and directed together withLucky McKee.
In 2003 Sivertson andKevin Ford co-directed a documentary titledToolbox Murders: As It Was about the making ofTobe Hooper's 2003 filmToolbox Murders.
In 2006 Sivertson andEddie Steeples co-wrote and co-directedThe Best of Robbers, starring Steeples.
Sivertson's filmThe Lost (2006) adaptedJack Ketchum's celebrated crime novel and has become a cult classic.[2]
His next film,I Know Who Killed Me (2007) starringLindsay Lohan, was not well received by critics[3] and went on to win severalGolden Raspberry Awards.[4] However, the film subsequently developed a cult following, with screenings at the Los Angeles Silent Movie Theater and the NuArt, and has been favorably compared byBoston Globe criticTy Burr to Brian de Palma'sSisters andBody Double as well as the works ofDavid Lynch.[5]
Sivertson has written and produced other films, includingWicked Lake (2008).[6]
Sivertson also wrote and directed the 2011 sports filmBrawler.[7]
All Cheerleaders Die is a 2013horror film that was directed byLucky McKee and Sivertson.[8][9][10][11][12] The film is aremake of the 2001 filmAll Cheerleaders Die.[13][14][15][16]
Sivertson's filmShattered Memories debuted on TV in 2018.
In 2022, he directedMonstrous starringChristina Ricci.
