Char () is a letter of theCyrillic script which was historically used in fourNortheast Caucasian languages usingPeter von Uslar's alphabets.[1] It was derived from the GeorgianMkhedruli letterCh'ari (ჭ). It isromanized as Ċh forDargwa andLezgian, the languages in which it was formerly used.[2] In 2022, the letter's capital and small versions were among 23 characters proposed for addition to theUnicode standard.[3]
