Cannabidiol dimethyl ether (CBDD) is a trace component ofcannabis[citation needed] which can also be made synthetically. It is a potent and selective inhibitor of theenzyme15-lipoxygenase and inhibits oxygenation oflinoleic acid, a process involved in the development ofatherosclerosis.[1][2]
