TheBudgewoi Lake is alagoon that is part of theTuggerah Lakes, that is located within theCentral Coast Councillocal government area in theCentral Coast region ofNew South Wales,Australia. The lake is located near the settlement ofBudgewoi and is situated about 100 kilometres (62 mi) north ofSydney.
Drawing its catchment from a small creek and the southern half ofLake Munmorah, Budgewoi Lake is located north of Wallarah Point and is bounded byToukley, Budgewoi,Buff Point,Charmhaven andGorokan. To the south of the lake, theTuggerah Lake drains excess water, that flows to theTasman Sea of theSouth Pacific Ocean, viaThe Entrance. When full, Budgewoi Lake covers an area of around 1,400 hectares (3,500 acres).[1]
